Northern Lights
I first saw the first Northern Lights in 2014 when I was living in a tent on the island of horses in Finnish Lapland. I waded half-naked into the cold water on a small island and made a tripod out of a dog food bowl, getting a few shaky shots. In the winter of 2015, I was already running Northern Lights photography tours in Ivalo, teaching how to photograph them and taking pictures of tourists with the northern lights. But my best moments with the Northern Lights have been alone in the wilderness, with my animal friends by my side. My photos are not combined from multiple images or otherwise heavily edited. I sometimes illuminate the foreground of the picture with a headlamp.
